The Collector

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another Gorjuss image called The Collector. I love her super long locks! Don't you? I made this project some time ago, before I had my hand in a brace. I missed coloring and will get back to it soon I promise.

The leaves were stamped from a retired stamp set Flourished Blessings from Close to My Heart. I stamped them using Ponderosa Pine. I kinda like how it matched the base cardstock from Michael's, and background paper from My Mind's Eye (I think).

I colored the image using Copics. Below are the colors I used.

Hair - E15, E17, E18
Skin - E0000, E00, E01
Blush - R02
Shirt - BG72, BG75, BG78
Socks - YG9, YG95, TN3, TN7
Leaf - G12, G14

Looks like I'm a little too excited for Fall huh? Enjoy!

Gorjuss The Hatter

I don't know what the background story is on Gorjuss, I know they have huge line of products. I've always been curious as to why their images have a sad feel to it. Don't get me wrong, they are absolutely adorable, so cute that I have actually collected every single stamp image. However I find myself using them for sad or bittersweet occasions.

I made this card for my ex co-worker that I miss so much. I actually made this before she left, thinking that sooner or later (in this case sooner), I'd start missing her already. It's actually only been 2 weeks, and yet I think about her, and wish we can have another one of our lunch outs.

The image below is The Hatter. Purple is my friend's favorite color, or at least one of, so I decided to go with a purple theme.  The word die "thinking about you" is from Lawn Fawn. It's a border die, but since I have the photo frame stamped on it,  it didn't fit and I had to cut it.

Outfit - BV00, BV02, BV04, BV08
Roses - R43, R46
Skin - E00, E01, E02
Hair - C3, C5, C9
Blush - R02
Background - Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils - Nature - 113

Here's the image of The Hatter.

To my good friend, you know I miss you so much and I'm always thinking about you. Till we meet again! Hopefully soon!

Gorjuss - Thinking of You

Hi  Everyone! First of I apologize for my super looong absence. So much stuff has happened to me in the last month that this hobby of mine had  to take a back seat. On the other hand, I have been coloring a lot lately. I've finally purchased my very own set of Copics, and have spent quite some time trying to learn and getting the hang of it. That, and I also recently acquired Spectrum Noir Aqua. If you follow my blog you know I'm a big Spectrum Noir user, so when they came out with Aqua I just have to have it!

Today's card uses a stamp set from Gorjuss. I believe it's Ruby. I am obsessed with a few brands lately, namely Gorjuss and La-La Land. So anyway, this card features Ruby, and I used Spectrum Aqua to color her. I'm actually quite surprised at how great the Aqua pens are. The colors are so vibrant, and mixing the colors was pretty easy. I've tried a version of this using Distress Markers but I wasn't able to achieve the look I wanted. There were too many water marks that's too distracting, so I switched to trying out the Aqua instead. And boy was I so pleased!

So, I used Crimson and Burgundy for her dress and shoes, Peach for her skin tone with a touch of Topaz, and for her hair I used a mixture of Sepia and Terracota I believe. I used Black for the stripes on her socks. The swing was colored using Fawn. For the background I used Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers Distress Ink with a mix of Frayed Burlap. As you can see coloring Ruby with the Spectrum Noir Aqua looks pretty clean, but when it came to the background using Distress Markers, you can see the water marks and it actually bled to her socks too. I have yet to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I used a La-La Land border die for the side border, and stamped the sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Chit Chat.

I love all of Gorjuss' stamps. I think she's just too cute! Not to mention it comes in a very very pretty case too! I buy mine from MarkerPop, they seem to have a more complete collection of Gorjuss stamps.

More to come! Hope you guys like it! It's not perfect, but I promise to keep practicing!
