Just Sayin!

I got inspired by the Kiwi Lane DT Doodle design sketch book that came out last week and created this card. I am a big fan of Kiwi Lane and use them for all my scrapbooks, and now that I'm into card making, I've also been using them quite a bit. For quick and adorable cute cards, you can't go wrong. For this card I used Ki by Hampton Art as my card stock base, and as usual leftover small scraps from Recollection papers. I used the Adorn Template, Accents, Tiny Shapes and Tiny Accents for all my pieces. I added a strip of ribbon for contrast, and a yellow Recollection embellishment button. Oh and I've also inked the edges of the card and pieces with Marigold Distress Ink.

I don't know yet what I'm going to use this card for, could turn out to be a Thank You card, or a Miss You card, so for now I'm leaving the sentiment open.

Happy Hearts!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and for the first time I am able to make something for my wonderful hubby! I used Fancy Pants Beloved paper and stamped sentiments using Simon Says Stamp's Filled with Love stamp set. Since the tag I used for the sentiment was a bit big, I decided to add a tiny ribbon to add a bit more color to the plain white card stock I used. I love the Fancy Pants paper, so colorful it didn't really leave much else for me to do!

Happy Birthday Bro!

My brother's birthday is coming up and I thought I'd send him a handmade card for a change. I'm pretty sure he'll be surprised. Since he's a guy I tried to make it as simple and masculine as it can be, yet still have lots of color. This DCWV 4x6 Eat Cake paper I think did all the work, and I just added a Sizzix Die Cut Cupcake in front of it, and embellished it with a few pearls.  I hope he likes it!

Thanks!

I discovered Kiwi Lane Designs at the last Scrapbook Expo in Ontario. Since then I've been hooked using their designs for my scrapbooks. The designs are so cool and it's up to you to mix and match them.  I tried this to make a Thank You card using Tiny Nature and die cut the word "thanks" using Simon Says Stamp small "thanks" die. I used Bazzill brown card stock and some scrap paper I had laying around. Quick, simple and easy to do. I love Kiwi Lane!

Washi Christmas Card

Since Washi tape seems to be so popular these days, i thought I'd try and create a card using it. Perfect timing too considering I'm in such a time crunch. A day after Christmas and I'm still trying to get the last one done. So here goes my quick and easy Washi Christmas card using a variety of Christmas themed designs. I believe they are most Recollection brand tapes. I used Cricut Winter Wonderland cartridge for the sentiment.

Tree Card

In a time crunch, simple and fast have to be it. Here I cut a tree using Cricut's Merry and Bright cartridge, some leftover paper again from Simon Says Stamp December 2012 card kit and embellished it with some red rhinestones from Recollections.

Snowflake Christmas Card

Next year I should know better and start making these Christmas cards early. Now I understand why the Christmas kits start going out around September/October! It's a couple of days before Christmas and I'm still cranking out Christmas cards for some friends and family! Fast and easy cards are the goal now as I strive to get these to the recipients in time for Christmas.

I used a snowflake design from Cricut Winter Wonderland cartridge, some leftover paper from Simon Says Stamp December 2012 card kit, and stamped using Stamps of Life lights4Christmas stamp set. I used some white glitter on the sentiment so it looks nice against red card stock.
