The Collector

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing another Gorjuss image called The Collector. I love her super long locks! Don't you? I made this project some time ago, before I had my hand in a brace. I missed coloring and will get back to it soon I promise.

The leaves were stamped from a retired stamp set Flourished Blessings from Close to My Heart. I stamped them using Ponderosa Pine. I kinda like how it matched the base cardstock from Michael's, and background paper from My Mind's Eye (I think).

I colored the image using Copics. Below are the colors I used.

Hair - E15, E17, E18
Skin - E0000, E00, E01
Blush - R02
Shirt - BG72, BG75, BG78
Socks - YG9, YG95, TN3, TN7
Leaf - G12, G14

Looks like I'm a little too excited for Fall huh? Enjoy!

Gorjuss The Hatter

I don't know what the background story is on Gorjuss, I know they have huge line of products. I've always been curious as to why their images have a sad feel to it. Don't get me wrong, they are absolutely adorable, so cute that I have actually collected every single stamp image. However I find myself using them for sad or bittersweet occasions.

I made this card for my ex co-worker that I miss so much. I actually made this before she left, thinking that sooner or later (in this case sooner), I'd start missing her already. It's actually only been 2 weeks, and yet I think about her, and wish we can have another one of our lunch outs.

The image below is The Hatter. Purple is my friend's favorite color, or at least one of, so I decided to go with a purple theme.  The word die "thinking about you" is from Lawn Fawn. It's a border die, but since I have the photo frame stamped on it,  it didn't fit and I had to cut it.

Outfit - BV00, BV02, BV04, BV08
Roses - R43, R46
Skin - E00, E01, E02
Hair - C3, C5, C9
Blush - R02
Background - Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils - Nature - 113

Here's the image of The Hatter.

To my good friend, you know I miss you so much and I'm always thinking about you. Till we meet again! Hopefully soon!

Happy Birthday To The Best Husband In The World!

Hi everyone! Today's my hubby's birthday, and with my hand being out of commission and in a brace, I couldn't really color or stamp much. So for his card, I thought a pop-up card that my daughter will be interested in helping me make, or at least watch me make.

I used a Silhouette cut file for the mosaic looking background, and stamped the sentiment using C1568 Party is On stamp set in Pacifica ink. The cardstock I used for the die cut background is also Pacifica.

Here's what the inside looks like. The background paper is from Confetti Wishes, the cardstock Pacifica. The popup is a bit tricky to fold, but we finally got it right. My daughter loved this project and was so excited to give it to her daddy!

Hope he loved it! I had fun doing it. It gives me a chance to rest my hand, with having just 1 image to stamp, and no coloring. Who says you can't come up with a crafty project with an injured hand?

It's Summer and It's Ice Cream Time!!

It's summer and what's one of the best things about it? Ice Cream!!! If my daughter would have it I think she'd be having ice cream everyday!

This month's stamp of the month from Close to My Heart (Ice Cream Dream) is so cute with all these sweet treats images!

Here's a card I made with this month's stamp set. Love the sentiment! I had to cut it though because it wouldn't fit in the card anymore.

I used Copics to color the ice cream truck, sentiment is stamped using Cotton Candy ink, and I adhered a Cranberry Striped Twill ribbon for accent. The background paper is from Doodlebug Designs.

And here's what the stamp set looks like.

Marci Sending Loads of Love

Hi everyone! Here's another Marci card from me and this time I colored Marci using Spectrum Noir Blendable Color Pencils! I have all 5 sets and let me tell you this is by far my favorite set of color pencils. I do have Prismacolor too, but I find the Spectrum Noir pencils to be so much better. There are different techniques and my favorite is using gamsol to blend the colors.

I used Sending word die from Simon Says Stamp, and the sentiment from Just A Love Note stamp set.

Hair - Essentials Set - 095, 091, 089
Skin - Essentials Set - 005, 004, 003
Clothes, Shoes, Hair Piece - Primaries Set - 029, 035, 034
Heart Banner - Florals Set-  028, 025, 023

Oh my gosh! I actually did it! I was able to list down all the colors I used! Well I hope that helps!

Enjoy!

Coffee? Tea?

I was going through my stack of cards and realized I've also done this as part of the Treats of Friendship stamp set. Thought I'd share with you what I made using the same stamp set I made the donuts card from.

Simple cards but I love coffee and tea stamp sets, and probably have 1 of every kind from all the major stamp makers out there. Anyways, for the tea card, I used gold shimmer trim and lagoon hearts washi tape to embellish, and I colored the cup of tea using Copics. The latte card is much simpler, I used Basics Paper Fundamentals for my background paper. I love the shiny/glossy side of these paper fundamentals! The designs are so pretty!

Here's the stamp set I used again.

Friends Fur-Ever

This is a sad week for me, since my very good friend is leaving and moving away. I know we will always be friends for life, but not being able to see her anytime, and have our weekly lunches, it's something that I will terribly miss. She is a dog lover, and volunteers at the Guide Dogs for the Blind. I think she will like this card a lot.

I used Close to My Heart Friendly Pets stamp set. This stamp set actually contains cute animal images. I did other cards with it too, but will post that some other time. I used Copics to color the dog and heart balloon in, and added glossy accent to the balloon. I used Cocoa pigment ink on vellum to stamp the sentiment.  I used the MFT Stitched Rectangle STAX to frame the main image.

Hope you all like it!

Donuts Donuts!

I've seen a lot of stamps out there that has coffee, tea, and candies and cupcakes, but seldom have I seen one with donuts. I can't even remember when was the last time I had donuts. Growing up we had a Dunkin Donuts nearby and I remember coming home from school and having them as snacks. I especially love the ones with chocolate and nuts covered on top, and the ones that are filled jelly, with strawberry and grape as my favorites.
But now that I'm older, donuts are a big no no, what with diet and all. So I'm venting my cravings on to this card, and whilst coloring I'm trying to suppress my cravings. Ironic huh?
Anyways, one of my closest friends at work is leaving, and this Friday will be her last day. She's been the one and only true friend at work I trust, and our friendship has spanned over a decade. She's also the last person I consider a friend left at work. And with her leaving, I really don't know what I'd do. I will miss her terribly.

I used the Treats of Friendship stamp set from Close to My Heart, Lagoon paper as background and Smoothie Striped washi tape on both sides as background borders. I colored in the donuts with our ShinHan markers.

Enjoy!
