La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat (Last)

Yes, this is the last. Good things always have to come to an end right?

Here's a Snowman Box designed by Irina herself.

This is a tri-fold card, pocket size almost. Really cute!

Here's what the inside looks like, unfolded.

This next one is a waterfall album by Elizabeth Elton. Another one of my favorites. Love how that scallop tab serves as a pull, when you pull on it each page of the album opens up.

And last but not the least, an elegant winter holiday card featuring Winter Marci. Don't you just love how she looks? :)

Thank you all for going through these projects with me. I've had a blast during the retreat. If you want some inspiration don't forget to visit the teachers' pages. They are truly wonderful. I'm putting a link to their blogs for you to visit too.

Happy Viewing and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat (Part 3)

And the fun continues with more projects to share with you all.

This photo frame box is another one of my favorites too!

I guess I'm saving more of my favorites for last? This next one is also one I think I'll be reusing a lot. I don't have any pocket tissues on hand right now, but the slots are meant for pocket tissue older and tea bags on the right. Don't you just love Nurse Marci? However her hair is a bit challenging to color!

This pineapple box was designed by Irina herself. Love how pretty this is! Am thinking of putting this on display and actually using it to store stuff.

And just how cute is this?? Mermaid Marci has always been one of my faves!!

This is a new not yet released stamp named Flapper Marci. I'm quite smitten by her actually. So digging that vintage look!

And this Christmas red themed Snowflake Marci box! Just absolutely adore it!

Believe it or not, we're not done yet! See you at the next post!

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat Part 2

In continuation, here are more projects we did a few weekends ago at the craft retreat.

Here's a Lollipop project designed by Tamara Potocnik. This has got to be one of my favorite projects out of all, though I have to admit I struggled to get that pinwheel type sandwiched in between. But the idea is so cute, the papers just absolutely adorable I just love this!

Here's another one I loved putting together.

And who doesn't love Kimono Marci? Love the Japanese theme here. This is actually a pocket folder.

Below is a a TN size (I think) pocket notebook.

And here we have a tabletop drawer.

After 2 posts I think these are just half of what we've done over the 3 day weekend! Phew! :) Stick around for more! :)

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat

Hi everyone! It's that time of the year again when I come back from the annual La-La Land Crafts Annual Craft Palooza! This year we made 22 amazing projects and I'm here to share them with you. We've had such amazing teachers in Irina Blount, Mindy Beverly, Martha Tucker and Elizabeth Elton. As always it was wonderful to see and connect with all the amazing ladies again! Next year couldn't come soon enough! If there's anything, this is the one event I look forward to as the year winds down.

Below are pictures of the finished projects. I'll have to probably split the post given there's so many pics to share.

Here's a countdown tabletop calendar.

Below is a triple mini album in a box, a project taught by Martha Tucker. I love how cute this is!

Here's a Christmas themed album card with a sleeve. It's so festive I love the papers that came with this project.

And look at this easy to make gift card holder. It's literally just scoring and folding paper together to hold the gift card in. I'm thinking of reusing this idea for all gift cards I give.

And how about this album / TN (traveler's notebook) project by Mindy Beverly? I love love it!!

Here's a simple box featuring Frenchie image.

And here's another gift card tag holder. Also love how simple and quick this took to make, and yet it looks so pretty! Also another idea i'll be reusing.

I'll be posting more pics on my next entry. Enjoy these!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's been 3 months! Phew! I know it's only November but I'm starting to list down some New Year's Resolutions. And one that always comes up is keeping up with blogging. That means more papercrafting projects, or perhaps incorporating my lettering journey? I've been doing so much projects this year I've spread myself too thin. So we'll see how and where this goes. But for today, in time for Thanksgiving, I'd like to share a card I made for a colleague of mine who's pretty much been there for me and helping me get through rough spots at work. I appreciated his advice, his company, and i think most of all, for listening.

I used papers from CTMH, retired papers from years ago, if i'm not mistaken it's called Pathfinding. The cardstock is also from CTMH called Goldrush.

The rest are all from La-La Land Crafts. This Autumn Marci is from October 2017s club kit. Dies are also part of the kit, which won't be available until next year. The ones I used that are available are Stitched Elements Die Set, Ornate Small Border Die, Autumn Leaves Die Set.

Hope you like it! And Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Watercolor Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone! Wow I can't believe it's been 5 months since my last blog post! Holy cow! Time really does fly! I apologize for my long absence. Things have been crazy, at work and at home, and to be honest with so many things I'm trying to juggle, it's all just a bit too much. My only regret is not having enough time set aside to do what I love. Hopefully that can and will change soon.

August has got to be the month with most birthdays happenings left and right. There's probably at least 5 people I know who celebrate it this month. I'm so bad at this I actually was only able to make 1 card for now. Hopefully these friends of mine won't mind belated cards!

I used last month's Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart. The stamp set is called Storybook Alphabet. I got this idea from Pinterest c/o Yana Smakula. Intead of using Copics though I used my love for watercolor instead and painted over the letters using Prima Marketing's watercolor confections.  I glazed over every letter with Glossy Accents hoping to give it that dimension and added my own handwritten sentiment. I wanted a clean and simple look and yet at the same time use everything I love which is watercolor and lettering.

Here's another view from this angle.

Am thinking of adding some shimmer later on when it's all complete dry. We'll see how that goes.

If you guys have Instagram account, check me out over there where I'm a bit more active. I snapped a couple of videos of how I did this card on Instragram Stories.

Thanks for stopping by!

Clown Luka Birthday Card

Hi everyone! I made a birthday card for a guy, and tried to make it as masculine as possible. It's a 50th birthday card and I wanted to make it a bit special. I've been inspired by Martha Tucker to make this easel card. The star of this card is Birthday Clown Luka from La-La Land Crafts. The papers I used are from Pink Paislee and Echo Park.

I tried to take it in different angles, but I'm afraid it all looks the same I think.

Dies Used:

Copics Used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair: E18, E15, E11
Balloon: RV66, RV63
Pants: B99, B97, B95
Shirt Polka Dots: N0, R39, YR27, BG13, BG57
Shoes: YR27, YR24, YR23

This is another one of my love for La La Land Crafts creations. They are always my first go to whenever I need to make a card.

Hope the recipient enjoys this! And I hope it's not too girly? It's supposed to be masculine.
