Cupcake Princess Birthday Card

May is probably one of the busiest months in terms of creating cards or crafting. With a few friends of mine whose birthdays fall on May, Mother's Day, National Scrapbooking Day, it seems like May gets me to create more than usual.

Today I'm sharing a card I made, for a very good friend of mine who lives on the other side of the country. I miss her but feel very fortunate to be able to keep in touch with her on a regular basis. Card is in the mail already and hopefully she receives it in time for her birthday. It's also my National Scrapbooking Day creation for this year. The crown on Cupcake Princess Marci looks a bit dark but it's actually Tonic Studios gold glitter covering it. It did not picture well but I swear it sparkles! Not a crown if it doesn't right? The cupcake 'scepter' (I think that's what it is called?) is also covered with Tonic Studios pink glitter.

If you follow me you know my love for La-La Land Crafts knows no bounds. 😀 Hope you like this one too. And to my good friend, advance Happy Birthday T!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

The whole industry is celebrating Happy National Scrapbook Day and here's my contribution to this event. It's kind of like a 2-in-1 because I also made these for Teacher Appreciation week.

I used retired papers from Chalk It Up on both layouts mixed with Picture my Life also from the Chalk It Up theme. The first layout, I used some Kiwi Lane templates to decorate, and added in some florals to decorate.

This second layout is more straightforward, I embellished with some Chalk It Up Assortment and some cut out stars.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

National Scrapbooking Month - Taste of Summer

Close to My Heart's promotion this month is all about the Taste of Summer. I thought I'd order myself this paper pack and coordinating stamp set since the fruit theme looks so cute. It's only for the month of May, and yes, I am very late in promoting. I hadn't planned on it really, but keep seeing all these posts from fellow consultants and I guess you could say I started salivating for these juicy citruses.

Below are a couple of cards I made using the Taste of Summer Paper Pack and coordinating Stamp set.

Here's what the papers look like for $8.95 a pack.

And here's the coordinating stamp set for $17.95.

Aren't they just the cutest? The colors on the paper are so vibrant!! The strawberry one is by far my favorite!
