Missing Hawaii

Just got back from a trip to Hawaii and already I want to go back. Hawaii is my favorite place to go on earth and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Something about the islands just gives me instant calm and a sense of peace from the moment I get off the plane. I've been so looking forward to this trip, especially since my family met up with us and it was a family affair.

I love early morning walks on the beach, catching the sunrise, dipping my feet on sandy beach waters, and just taking in the moment. Breathing in all the serenity of the place is just what I needed. Who wouldn't want to wake up to this every single day?

I know I've just returned but already planning on the next trip back, whenever that may be. 😝

So for today I'm sharing this card I made using La-La Land Crafts Ukulele Marci. Must be a retired stamp because I can't find it on their site anymore.

Not a lot of dies used other than MFT's Wonky Stitched Circle Stax

Cupcake Princess Birthday Card

May is probably one of the busiest months in terms of creating cards or crafting. With a few friends of mine whose birthdays fall on May, Mother's Day, National Scrapbooking Day, it seems like May gets me to create more than usual.

Today I'm sharing a card I made, for a very good friend of mine who lives on the other side of the country. I miss her but feel very fortunate to be able to keep in touch with her on a regular basis. Card is in the mail already and hopefully she receives it in time for her birthday. It's also my National Scrapbooking Day creation for this year. The crown on Cupcake Princess Marci looks a bit dark but it's actually Tonic Studios gold glitter covering it. It did not picture well but I swear it sparkles! Not a crown if it doesn't right? The cupcake 'scepter' (I think that's what it is called?) is also covered with Tonic Studios pink glitter.

If you follow me you know my love for La-La Land Crafts knows no bounds. 😀 Hope you like this one too. And to my good friend, advance Happy Birthday T!

Silhouette Thank You Card

Hi everyone! Here's my 2nd card that I made for Teacher's Appreciation Week. This time instead of stamping and coloring, I used my Silhouette to create this simple card. It's been a while since I made cards that did not require any stamping. 😁

Papers are from Close to My Heart, I used scrap papers mostly for the polka dots, and Chocolate (retired) for the base brown cardstock.

A Fairy Thank You

It's Teacher's Appreciation Week at school and for this year I made this card for my daughter's teacher.

Love how whimsical this looks and the added glitter to the fairy wings goes a long way. Can't see it much on the picture but it's there. Unfortunately I took the photo at night so lighting isn't at its best.

Stamp set is Lawn Fawn's Fairy Friends, and images are all colored with Copics.

Thank You Card

Hi everyone! Sharing another card today that was done previously. Made this for an old co-worker of mine who remember my birthday. I was so grateful that she took the time to buy me a birthday present, and it came at a time when I was feeling very low. To show my appreciation I made this card to let her know how grateful I was.

I used Rose Hat Marci. This stamp was last year June's La-La Land Club kit. Image was colored with Copics. Layout inspiration from Tamara

Coffee Break Marci Thank You Card

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I made a couple of months back. I wanted to give someone who means a lot to me a card to show how much I appreciate our friendship. Because we both love coffee, this stamp from La-La Land seemed fitting. Image below colored using Copics.

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat (Last)

Yes, this is the last. Good things always have to come to an end right?

Here's a Snowman Box designed by Irina herself.

This is a tri-fold card, pocket size almost. Really cute!

Here's what the inside looks like, unfolded.

This next one is a waterfall album by Elizabeth Elton. Another one of my favorites. Love how that scallop tab serves as a pull, when you pull on it each page of the album opens up.

And last but not the least, an elegant winter holiday card featuring Winter Marci. Don't you just love how she looks? :)

Thank you all for going through these projects with me. I've had a blast during the retreat. If you want some inspiration don't forget to visit the teachers' pages. They are truly wonderful. I'm putting a link to their blogs for you to visit too.

Happy Viewing and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat (Part 3)

And the fun continues with more projects to share with you all.

This photo frame box is another one of my favorites too!

I guess I'm saving more of my favorites for last? This next one is also one I think I'll be reusing a lot. I don't have any pocket tissues on hand right now, but the slots are meant for pocket tissue older and tea bags on the right. Don't you just love Nurse Marci? However her hair is a bit challenging to color!

This pineapple box was designed by Irina herself. Love how pretty this is! Am thinking of putting this on display and actually using it to store stuff.

And just how cute is this?? Mermaid Marci has always been one of my faves!!

This is a new not yet released stamp named Flapper Marci. I'm quite smitten by her actually. So digging that vintage look!

And this Christmas red themed Snowflake Marci box! Just absolutely adore it!

Believe it or not, we're not done yet! See you at the next post!

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat Part 2

In continuation, here are more projects we did a few weekends ago at the craft retreat.

Here's a Lollipop project designed by Tamara Potocnik. This has got to be one of my favorite projects out of all, though I have to admit I struggled to get that pinwheel type sandwiched in between. But the idea is so cute, the papers just absolutely adorable I just love this!

Here's another one I loved putting together.

And who doesn't love Kimono Marci? Love the Japanese theme here. This is actually a pocket folder.

Below is a a TN size (I think) pocket notebook.

And here we have a tabletop drawer.

After 2 posts I think these are just half of what we've done over the 3 day weekend! Phew! :) Stick around for more! :)

La-La Land Annual Craft Retreat

Hi everyone! It's that time of the year again when I come back from the annual La-La Land Crafts Annual Craft Palooza! This year we made 22 amazing projects and I'm here to share them with you. We've had such amazing teachers in Irina Blount, Mindy Beverly, Martha Tucker and Elizabeth Elton. As always it was wonderful to see and connect with all the amazing ladies again! Next year couldn't come soon enough! If there's anything, this is the one event I look forward to as the year winds down.

Below are pictures of the finished projects. I'll have to probably split the post given there's so many pics to share.

Here's a countdown tabletop calendar.

Below is a triple mini album in a box, a project taught by Martha Tucker. I love how cute this is!

Here's a Christmas themed album card with a sleeve. It's so festive I love the papers that came with this project.

And look at this easy to make gift card holder. It's literally just scoring and folding paper together to hold the gift card in. I'm thinking of reusing this idea for all gift cards I give.

And how about this album / TN (traveler's notebook) project by Mindy Beverly? I love love it!!

Here's a simple box featuring Frenchie image.

And here's another gift card tag holder. Also love how simple and quick this took to make, and yet it looks so pretty! Also another idea i'll be reusing.

I'll be posting more pics on my next entry. Enjoy these!
